We delivered and deliver the up-to-date information about Belgium for the European anti-SLAPP Monitor which aims at providing information on the status of transposition and implementation of European instruments on SLAPPs at national level. The monitor is an initiative of the Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe (CASE) and is hosted and managed by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF).
Belgium is one of the EU Member States that have started in the beginning of 2025 the legislative process for transposing the EU anti-SLAPP Directive 2024/1069. For more information see the European anti-SLAPP Monitor on Belgium and the website of the Belgian anti-SLAPP Working Group.
