New e-book version on case law freedom of expression

At the occasion of World Press Freedom Day (3 May), the European Audiovisual Observatory has published the seventh edition of the e-book containing a datebase of the most important judgments and decisions of the European Court of Human Rights on freedom of expression, media and journalism. The 2022 e-book edition contains summaries of 360 judgments or decisions by the ECtHR and provides hyperlinks to the full text of each of the summarised rulings (via HUDOC). The e-book, which is free accessible online and can be downloaded as a user-frienly pdf, can be used in various ways: for initial orientation in the steadily growing Article 10 ECHR case-law; for refreshing one’s knowledge of the Court’s jurisprudence, for quick reference and checking, as well as for substantive research.
